Life

It's crazy how busy life is with two babies and yet nothing seems to really happen.
Baby J has started walking and subsequently climbing...everything.

Here he is climbing up J and the couch so he can reach the picture frame (if he'd gotten his way he would have pulled down the picture).
It is very difficult to get even a semi-decent picture of both kids

Here they are mid-November.
We spent Thanksgiving with J's parents. There, we discovered that Baby J likes jello salad and ham.

A couple months before Baby Z was born we bought a tandem stroller off KSL. It was horrible. I couldn't turn it with both kids in it. While Christmas shopping I came across this stroller and fell in love. I walked with it through out the store. I almost bought it then and there. Instead, I told J about it and he ordered it for me through Amazon for cheaper!

Sweet Baby Z on her first Christmas.

That's all the exciting stuff, New Years Eve J had a gig so his parents offered to watch the kids all night. It was a nice, much needed break!

Two Months

That's right, folks. Little Baby Z is two months old!
Baby Z is such a joy. She is very patient, but still likes to get her fair share of attention. She loves to be sat up and be a part of whatever is going on. Our little social butterfly!
Baby Z stats:
Weight - 11 lb 15 oz
Height - 22.5 inches
Head - 15 inches
She's in the 50th percentile all across the board. Next to Baby J she is still quite tiny!

Pumpkins

This year we were a Pumpkin Patch, again! Some how we didn't get any pictures on our camera so the one I have, I stole.

I took the kids to my sister, C's house so they could all see their cute cousins. Baby J, was not happy.

We took him inside and tried to get him to eat some pizza, but he was having none of it. C insisted we trick-or-treat with them, and since my parents and bro-in law, G were there I left Baby Z with them and took baby J around the block with his cousins. He was serious the entire time, but he left his cute hat on! Yay!

When we got back my dad asked if he'd had fun and Baby J shook his head sadly and started to cry. I took him to the kitchen, gave him more pizza, and all was better.

He may not have like trick-or-treating, but he sure loved all the candy he had afterwards, and so did his dad! :)

Moab + 2

Anyone who knows my husband knows how much he loves Moab. He hasn't been able to go as much as he's wanted to since Baby J has been born and he had been missing it. I received a phone call from J about 11 am one Thursday asking if I'd go to Moab if his parents came along and we had a hotel room. So I agreed.
4:30 Saturday morning, we packed up both babies and our bags and headed down. The kids slept pretty much the whole way there. We stopped halfway for diaper changes snacks and stretching.
Once we arrived, it was more diaper changing and transferring babies over to Grandpa's truck. J took his dad and headed off to a trail, while his mom helped me with the kids.
First we went to the park. Grandma pushed Baby J on the swings while I fed Baby Z.
He LOVED the swings!

Then we had some lunch. After which the kids were tired and cranky. Check in wasn't until four. We drove around for a little while so they would be air conditioned and hopefully sleep a bit. At 1:00 We went to the hotel just to see if they would have mercy on us. They said we could relax in the lobby and they would make sure our rooms would be ready in half an hour.

They were true to their word. By 3:00 we had clean diapers, showered momma, and three sleeping family members. Grandma stayed awake, in case a baby woke up, so she could take care of him/her and let me sleep. What a nice mother-in-law I have! :) I sent her to her room at 4:00 (check in), so she could sleep. Her room was right next door, so if I needed her I'd knock.

The kids slept up until J and Grandpa arrived, around 6:00. Then Grandma and Grandpa volunteered to watch the kids so J and I could go to dinner.

Sunday morning the men got up early and headed to the trail.

The hotel provided a full breakfast, so Grandma and I took the kids. It was good! Even Baby J liked it!

We then packed up again and checked out of the hotel. We took the kids for a walk down one of the trails and figured that the guys should be finishing up in about an hour. So we went for a scenic drive and then drove to the trail head. As Grandma fed Baby J his lunch and I fed Baby Z, we could J's Jeep going down an obstacle on his way back down. J arrived back at the trail head and Baby J was so happy to see his daddy!

Happy Birhtday Baby J!

Three weeks after Baby Z was born Baby J turned one. I made his favorite foods for dinner: spaghetti and mashed potatoes with lemonade to drink. It was pretty weird on the taste buds but Baby J LOVED it!

Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of him unwrapping his presents. He wasn't really into it anyway.

This one J took the day after we got home from the hospital. I had to post it because I think it illustrates beautifully how exhausted we were the first few weeks after Baby Z was born.
